Daniel Schäfer was born in 1992 in Wertingen, Germany. He studied cinematography at the University of Television and Film in Munich. Besides his work as a cinematographer, photographer and video artist he directed a variety of experimental films and music videos. A distinctive characteristic of his work is the physicality of the image.
